Position Overview

The Social Media & Digital Fundraising Assistant is an important part of the INADcure Foundation’s small team and plays an essential role in supporting the Foundation’s mission and engaging the community through social media and digital fundraising efforts. 

Role and Responsibilities

The Social Media & Digital Fundraising Assistant’s responsibilities include the following:
  • Creating engaging social media content for the INADcure Foundation across its social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Supporting INAD families and supporters’ social media campaigns and digital fundraising efforts through sharing on the Foundation’s social media pages and providing direct support as needed.
  • Assisting individuals who set up personal/birthday fundraisers on Facebook, recognizing those who fundraise for the Foundation via direct message and publicly via social media posts as appropriate. 
  • Supporting digital fundraising and awareness efforts and activities, focusing on growing and optimizing the Foundation’s peer-to-peer fundraising program.
  • Assisting in creating effective fundraising materials (e.g., toolkits, idea guides, templates) to support family/community fundraising and peer-to-peer fundraising efforts. 
  • Developing graphics and visuals for social media, website, and special events and projects. 
  • Responding to questions, comments, and inquiries submitted to Foundation social media accounts promptly and professionally, redirecting them to the appropriate Foundation staff as needed.
  • Assisting with organization website content updates related to fundraising. 
  • Assisting with the development of newsletters and other communications to Foundation stakeholders regarding fundraising accomplishments, milestones, needs, and donor recognition. 
  • Participating in meetings, training, and strategy sessions as needed and requested by the Foundation’s Leadership Team.

Qualifications

The qualifications for the position of Social Media & Digital Fundraising Assistant include the following:
  • Experience or familiarity with popular social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Creativity and the ability to brainstorm and generate innovative and engaging social media campaigns and content ideas.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High level of professionalism and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to use excellent judgment when responding to social media users as the voice of the Foundation.
  • Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus but not required.
  • A positive attitude, team player mentality, and eagerness to contribute to the success of the Foundation and its mission.
